One Shot Started It All

In 2010, Mike Slonina’s mother faced a brain tumor diagnosis. Determined to make a difference, Mike shot a basketball for 24 hours straight, raising funds for cancer research despite injuries. That 2011 event sparked A Shot For Life, now a force uniting athletes, first responders, and communities to fund immunotherapy breakthroughs at Massachusetts General Hospital. Our story is about resilience, hope, and collective action.
